iHostix collects personal
information when you register with iHostix, when you use iHostix
products or services, when you visit iHostix pages or the pages
of certain iHostix partners, and when you enter promotions or sweepstakes.
iHostix may combine information about you that we have with information
we obtain from business partners or other companies. When you register
we ask for information such as your name, email address, birth date,
gender, zip code, occupation, industry, and personal interests.
For some financial products and services we may also ask for your
address, Social Security number, and information about your assets.
Once you register with iHostix and sign in to our services. |
iHostix does not rent,
sell, or share personal information about you with other people
or nonaffiliated companies except to provide products or services
you've requested, when we have your permission, or under the following
circumstances: We provide the information to trusted partners who
work on behalf of or with Yahoo! under confidentiality agreements.
These companies may use your personal information to help iHostix
communicate with you about offers from iHostix and our marketing
partners. However, these companies do not have any independent right
to share this information. |
Maybe you were expecting
some sort of legalese here. This will not be the case. We are privacy
advocates. We also hate spam. This privacy policy is a mirror of
our own thoughts on the subject, and there's not much of a chance
it will change. Should it change, the information will be here,
and most likely the changes will be made to make this policy stronger.
Amendments to this (created at the time of this draft) are at the
bottom; please make certain to read them. |
-
We will not sell your information. We won't
even give it away. Your information is your information; it's
not ours to sell or give away.
-
We keep logs of connections to the site,
and logs of occurrences on the servers, which are rotated out
routinely. We do this in order to diagnose any problems which
may occur along the way. This information is not public, and
never will be. It is used internally, like I said, to diagnose
problems, and there is no real and feasible way to do that any
other way.
-
Your site is your own property. We respect
your copyrights and intellectual property.
-
We will not tell others that you are hosted
on us, unless you give us permission to do so.
